Program Accreditation Decisions

Accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation are required to notify regional accreditors, selected specialized recognized accreditors and state agencies responsible for postsecondary education of final accreditation decisions.


In this section are the official actions taken by the APA Commission on Accreditation regarding accreditation status at recent meetings. This page includes links to three most recent meetings; however, the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation also maintains a comprehensive database of all APA-accredited programs on its website. The definitions of all accreditation statuses can be found in the Accreditation Operating Procedures .

Distance Education Programs

Learn more about programs that have a component that is delivered via distance education methodology.
